DD Charity Update - August 2023

The summer holidays are still in and school is still out - and we're continuing our mission to get as many folks into the outdoors as possible!
This month we catch up with two of our charity partners, The Alderny Wildlife Trust's Guernsey Youth Commission and the Knowetop Project; a local horticulture and conservation outdoor recovery and learning based organisation.

Summer is well and truly here, School's out, and the adventures can begin!
For the month of July we've partnered with The Yard; a local Scottish charity with bases in Edinburgh, Fife and Dundee.
Dedicated to creating safe creative havens for play for disabled children amongst other essential services, read on to find out how The Yard makes the outdoors accessible for all who need it!

Based in Birkenhead and Manchester respectively, these two outdoor organisations are passionate about providing care and excitement to their patrons via the beauty of nature.

DD Charity Update - March 2023

Spring has officially sprung, and this month we're collaborating with veteran led organisation; The Leg Up Project!
The Leg Up Project is a Leicestershire non profit CIC that works to offer adventure therapy, courses and various methods of support to folks of all ages from a variety of diverse backgrounds - including those with mental health difficulties, homelessness, and more.

It's February, the month of love and appreciation! And what better way to spread the love than working in tandem with two great local charities to bring the joy of the outdoors to those in need?
This month we firstly meet Barry Curley of The Ulverston Canoe Club, who's volunteers work to create oppertunities for young people and those from less dvantageous backgrounds to take part in getting outdoors. Secondly we catch up with Good News Brighton, an organisation that works within Moulsecoomb to get folks from deprived areas into wild camping areas to help heal their mental health and wellbeing.

This month we've teamed up with The Wellness Cafe and Bushkraft Forest School CIC; two organisations dedicated to helping those in the community improve their mental health and wellbeing through the power of nature and great company!
